We are asking Americans to put trust in CVS as their health care provider instead of traditional means. Here’s the thing, we piss off many Americans every day with understaffed, understocked, mediocre stores not to mention the horrible service in our Minute Clinics. MCs are currently the bar customers can judge our ability to care for people and we s--- at it. If they can’t trust us for the minimum expectations one would have for a pharmacy retailer, we would they trust us with something even more personal such as direct health care? I have long believed corporate is way overplaying their hand here. You can’t simply go on the Today show and declare yourself a health care company with no history, experience, or reputation in that space. CVS is convinced that they will will because of the customer convenience factor. Health care is personal to people and convenience is not high on the priority list when people make their decision on who will treat them.
Really good point from @ZC5uCN4-boq.
