That's why Produce didn't get a Fresh Sales Tool and no expected date to get a pay increase. There isn't even Produce 1 and 2 positions.

Produce is a lot of work to do it right and needs good people. Is it hard work? Not compared to other jobs. Disgusting? Yes.
I’ve done the job, like most things you get out of it what you put in and good people help.
Prepared food Lead is really the most difficult job because they have to account for 5 different areas: deli, HMS, rotisserie, freezer cooler, and cafe aka the red headed stepchild department of Sams.
But if your prepared food Lead s---s, then lord help your fresh sales especially if you are in a high volume club.
It's funny how much hate the fresh lead's get. We do the most work, have the most responsibility and get paid the most for a reason. We make the schedules as well, which is a perk. Some are better than other's and having an actual education helps. It's why I started at $18 an hr.
I’m a bakery lead and I can bake and decorate!! Prepared food leads are useless!! There is no reason for them to open. Bakery and meat leads need to open for the fact that it’s ALL production and if you get behind there is no catching up for the day.
76% of all members come to the building to buy produce. Fresh penetration is at an all time high thanks to Produce. And overall Fresh numbers are higher this year across the board due to Produce.
You sound like a sour Bakery lead. The typical "dunno how to decorate a cake or bake bread but I can do breakout and wrap like no one's business!"

They already deleted the produce lead position 2 time and had to bring it back because you have to watch dates, rotation and inventory on hands daily or there will be flies and rotten product everywhere... You have a lazy team lead that doesn't know what they're doing or doesn't care. So that individuals actions don't represent us all... I hope they let go of your lazy team lead. If you were on my team you would have respect for me I'm not lazy I do trucks and anything that needs to be done no hiding in the office ever...
