Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

You can't be written up if you are meeting your PA goals

Despite what some managers think, they can not write you up if you are meeting your PA goals. I have been with the company for a very longtime and have seen some managers invent their "own" goals that are either not on the PA or try to write reps up for not exceeding the PA goals said manager wants. In each case the reps that this happened to went to HR and the managers got fired for it. Not every manager is like this and dont let these micromanaging bully managers get away with this. If you have a manager that tries to pull this go to HR.

Hahahahaha good luck with that buddy, had three different people let go for not hitting their commitments. And those PA Goals, they are completely changeable during your mid years. Keep it up, that “long term” employment will be “long gone”. HR wont help you then.

I was up for term because I wasn’t hitting an 80% achieve rate on my commitments but I threw a fit with compliance because I was leading in all my stats. Had just come off a warning for performance though so that’s why they put me up for term for not meeting achieve rate. But after 30 days of waiting on a final answer from corporate and thinking anyday they would fire me they decided to not fire me. Said how would it look to fire a leading rep for something that isn’t even on the PA. And I was like yeah I know! My understanding was that commitments are built around a stat u struggle with and is supposed to help that stat so if ur leading who cares about the commitments am I right?! Obviously the commitment wasn’t needed for my stats to be leading. I dodged a bullet on that one but may have been termed if I hadn’t complained to compliance.

Anybody with half a brain that has been with this company any amount of time knows you can be fired for anything at anytime, you are an at will employee, they can let you go tomorrow and not have to provide you a reason, if you are working in an at will state ( which most are ) you can be walked out at anytime. If you don't believe it maybe you should check with HR.

They can change the rules at will.

@2zja-The OP clearly states you can not be written up for a PA related reason if you're meeting your PA goals.

@3vck and 3hxa based on your stupid comments I am willing to bet you both are two of those micromanaging bully managers that write people up for B's reasons and the only reason you are still around is because your reps don't know any better to go to HR .

Bull, I hit phone adds every month, still on write up for are, we are also told we will be written up if we don't sell 2 hums a month, and that has happened at my store also, show me anything anywhere that says you cannot be written up if you are hitting pa but nothing else.

This is not true. Even if you hit your phone adds but fall short of ARD, Pull through and TMP you can and will be written up and potentially terminated if those goals aren't met.
