MSS/Team Lead Block Schedule Changes??

So my club went through all of the trouble to talk to all of the MSS's about the new block scheduling, got all of their preferred days off, and even sent to corporate these preferred days off just to find out that they are going to change it.

Does anyone know if this is due to the fact that everyone is complaining?

How do you guys feel about a "rotating schedule" (that is what my club is calling what the team leads will be getting)-- basically one week you will get two weekdays off and the next Fri/Sat and the new Sun and a different day. I do not know the exact days but I just wanted to explain for people who did not understand.

I think it is ridiculous. I had my two days off and was told what it was going to be. The schedule that starts on sat is the opposite of what I wanted. I just wanted my two days that I asked for off together I really wanted Sunday and Monday off . I guess I am going to start looking for a new job I don't want to work every Sunday. They flat out lied!

I recently purchased a Demining Machine and have invested in thousands of sand bags.

The main problem with scheduling is you have too many people wanting weekends off. The latest change is supposed to give everyone at least 1 full weekend off. Now for the problem. If you live in a state that has rules in regards to number of days worked in a row. This gums the works up, because for those who think they are going to keep their regular days off plus the 1 weekend a month are in for a rude awakening.

A rumor going around my club is that you can opt in for either the 1 weekend a month off, but your days off after that will be all over the place. The other option is keep your regular days off with no weekends off.

One associate claims they were promised both and will quit if they do not get both options.

They already sent out info to the GM's. Your still either am or pm, but the days off rotate giving you the occasional sat/sun off

As a fresh lead, I was told that my schedule was a template, but more often than not my schedule would change to fill any gaps in coverage in my department and to provide management with another closing Lead.

Yay.
