Saw that a lot of folks left on their own in the past year, so what comes to mind is the question whether the leadership counted on that and saw that process coming? Do they welcome the attrition, in light of the goal for the company to go under 100k employees or does that present a problem to them? It’s one thing to have layoffs and to target people they feel are replaceable, having people leave left and right, that’s a different story.

Why is there even debate about whether Oracle "cares" about attrition? It should be extremely clear that the management has no interest in how many people leave except as it relates to rif payouts. They prefer to have you leave on your own. Don't you get it? This isn't a normal company that "cares" about employees at all and you are 100% replaceable by another drone who is younger and cheaper.
The culture of oracle is to promote self-attrition. They want it to be a meat grinder.
Its all part of their method to their madness. :)
The 3 stooges worry about the stock price crashing and Getting sued for fraud and that’s about it.
LoL. Despite what you saw, there isn't a problem with attrition at Oracle. It's people staying beyond their welcome.
And, no, Oracle doesn't care if you leave.
They are fine with expensive people leaving because they can hire cheaper H1B, millennials, or just offshore the work. They can also just get by with less. This is being run like IBM and just financial engineering at play. No one that I know wants to use Oracle's monolithic technologies anymore.
Let’s be clear about something very basic once and for all: the only thing the 3 Stooges care about is their own pocket books in a very narrow sense. They do not care about the long-term or even medium term value of oracle, they literally only care about the current share price. So while you may think that attrition will reduce the value of oracle longer term, they couldn’t care less - two of them will be long gone and the third could well be 6 feet under from old age and natural causes. There is no long term for oracle and therefore no long term strategy. Period.
They are but not for all products, for some products they are happy that it is happening.
