Its October...its time for layoffs after Canadian Thanksgiving...but before US Thanksgiving.

If you're a high performer getting paid less than market you may have a lessor chance of getting laid off in the next round
EGD / Union Gas integration is planned to take 5 years. As each phase is implemented, there will be layoffs.
Competitiveness = layoffs. Meanwhile AM, BM and all the high managements heeps talking about that, layoffs will be with us too.

Egd has been laying off people every year for the last 20 years i workked there. Some people deserve it. Some dont. Get use to it. The ones that should go never get picked.
EGI layoffs will continue as integration planning and work gets completed. They have kept staff needed for the incremental work of amalgamation, once that work is done, more layoffs to come.
