Thread regarding CVS layoffs

How Do you Handle?

A DL that is clearly picking/ Harassing you? I can prove that other stores in my district are in worse shape than mines, their numbers are horrible. Other managers are giving better treatment they don’t have to work closing shifts/ weekends. I know if I go through ethics that’s only going to back fire on me. Should I just get a lawyer?

keep a log of everything that happens. Everything said.. dates, times names. Make notes of who you share with and their comments. Note Ethics line calls and responses if any. List any others that have been impacted. Build your case. Then you have options. Record the DL's harassment..( if your state allows) .

Ethics line will buy you some time...to look for a new job. So will long term disability.

Whether your fault or not, Why work with a company that does not want you?

Get out ...probably coming from the regional anyway.

I do agree with people here saying that you should focus on your own store. However, I find it hard to believe that managers here replying don't believe that DLs target specific managers they want to get rid of.

In response to the previous reply. Most people who are failing do not look inward to see what they can do to change or make things better. They look to point the finger at someone else.

The original poster does not want help. They want someone to agree with them in their own assessment of their performance. They haven't said; "I tried this and that and it doesn't work" " how can I change the view that my DL has?" :"What can I do to get better?" they said " do I get a lawyer or call the ethics line?"

None of these replies was even close to helpful. Obviously the original poster is looking for some type of help. When they’re already overworked, understaffed, and beyond frustrated with the unrealistic expectations that the company is setting for them, researching any and all options is not unheard of. Most people would question why they’re being treated unfairly when they’re doing the best they can with the resources they’re given. (At least that’s how I interpreted the post) I personally don’t think a lawyer is going to help you because I don’t understand what your case would be. You aren’t being forced to work there. However, it probably isn’t just you. From what I’ve been reading on other platforms, a lot of employees are feeling the same way.

DL’s are always toughest on the better managers. They need a couple of stores in their District to showcase. If your 75% there, they push you rather than waste their time on someone they know can’t get there. Take it as a compliment. Make your DL look good and it will pay dividends!

You are saying. I am not as bad as them so you shouldn’t address my store?

I agree with the previos comments. I work with a guy( might be you). Who goes to other stores taking pictures to “prove” his store is not as bad as theirs.

Spend your time on something productive, like working.

If this is your attitude you will be gone soon.

As long as you DO YOUR job. There’s no problems.

By your own admission (worse shape than yours) means you have problems . Fix the store , fix the problems - do what your DL says

Then should be no problems
