There has been a reduction of staff at my club. Is that something that is happening at other locations as well? In other words, is there some sort of a general plan to reduce the number of associates at certain clubs, or is this a specific situation at my location?

I bet a lot of this is the fact of the new attendance policy. Lots of people are just getting let go for having too many points. Its starting to get really bad at my club, plus I have been told by the CM that we are actually going on a hiring freeze (do not know if this is company wide or just our Market or what), but that will just exacerbate the problem. We barely have enough people to zone the club at close to the point where certain areas don't get zoned at all.
Its just a horrible situation.
In Puerto Rico about 80-100 per club since feb 15. Today was the final day of work.
Not only are we losing staff at our store, they're cutting hours for part timers too.
We're short staffed at our store too. When someone quits or gets fired, they don't replace them. Ohio Sam's Club.
They have released a headcount but it actually is opening more full time spots for example my club were over 14 part timers but short 17 full timers
That's pretty much the norm at all clubs.
Front end at my store won't hire anymore because payroll, and now, we are lucky to get two register open during the day. Cashiers fill in for door greeters all day, and soft lines, t-b-cco, and even grocery, and Bakery.
Reducing how? They're just firing people for no reason?
