Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

The managers know what’s happening with different positions in the club but don’t say anything

A little honesty goes a omg way . That’s what’s lacking at Sam’s club . The managers know what’s happening with different positions in the club but don’t say anything . For example the business office went live on Thursday and no one in management was there to help or even cared . Now our job In done in 2 hours and then what . I went downstairs and helped out . Does anyone know if we are in jeopardy of losing our jobs ? I heard Wal-Mart has no one in the business office their csm is doing the work !

I'm a manager and we don't know sh--. Or atleast our club manager doesn't let us know. I read this sight to see what's possible coming next and keep looking to see from past rumors of management layoffs. And the one time I knew something and was talking to an hourly about it I about lost my job and was coached....

Both of us in cash office are quitting this week. The manager said he will then open a part time accounting req. We went Live about 3 weeks ago. We chose to leave but apparently the position is not quite eliminated "yet".

The managers in ny club say they dont know but they do. Ask about the new block scheduling ...dont know when that will start, ask about bonus... dont know , ask about PTO and ppto ....again dont know I'll get back with you. Smh I bet Sam Walton is proud of what his company has become.

I knew cash office would be on the chopping block. My club does not even have a cash office associate anymore. It is run by an MSS and the Membership Champion.

Yes I would agree that business office is next, the sad part is that when they got rid of TL in business office everyone became PT. Now when the business office is eliminated their severance will be based off PT hours now verses FT hours. Severance will be much less.
