Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

What business is next in line for layoffs?

Today it’s GE digital, but I doubt the layoffs will be restricted only to that business, but are a part of more massive restructuring efforts on the level of the whole conglomerate. I would like to get some thoughts on what part of the company is next in line after Digital. In what direction will the layoffs go?

One thing we know that low cost countries like India and Poland will not be hit. In fact, when in power, there is no expectations of salary hike, in India , there is a salary hike expected like last year. Different regions have different perspective. In states, we can't expect much growth in power (except from renewables) !!

Next is Belfort. The departure of Corine de Bilbao (Head of GE France) is a sign.

Better question is, which one is not in line for layoffs?

With the state of the business in power, you would think they would have been the first hit, both Schnectady and Greenville. They may be waiting to use layoffs as a "bargaining tool" in the contract negotiations this summer. We'll find out soon enough.
