Check with your friends in the industry what skills are expected for your level of experience. Connect with them. Don't be shy. People are generally much more helpful that you assume.

Brush up on those skills.

Try attending as many interviews as you can. If you are not able to answer any question in the interview, go back home and read up. The next time you will rock that question!
-
Once you attend around 8-10 interviews you will have a fair idea of what is expected out of you in the job market. Don't lose heart. You are almost there.

With regular studying, working on your skills and connecting with recruiters/friends you should land a job soon. It's just a matter of time. Work your a-- off.
I was RIFed a few months back. I worked my a-- off - reading, practising, connecting and finally had 5 job offers in 2 months. It's just a matter of time. You will definitely have something much much better than Oracle. I'm writing this in the hope that atleast 1 person will be motivated.
Best of Luck!
