You do realize none of this whining and nay-saying will get you re-hired?

The problem with Oracle's cloud is Oracle's low level of commitment to cloud.

This was the summary. This is what the real problem is, no intention to build anything real. LE just uses "cloud" as a BS marketing term and he will get caught this time. Most of Oracle's products are c-ap. He just thought he could get away with the same lack of investment he's always made in everything else, but it's not going to work this time.

He lies about it all then time, eeah, eeah, O;

No cloud here, no cloud there, no cloud anywhere;

The 3 stooges are such f---ing mo--ns, eeah, eeah, O!

Maybe you should do some research before you start accusing people you don't know.

This article has over 13000 views, over 400 Likes, and more than 100 comments.

Not a single comment could present a counter-argument.

The best Oracle reps can do is exactly what you did. Shoot the messenger.

Everything the author presented, he proved.

-Screen shots from Cologix and Digital Realty websites announcing they are hosting Oracle in Canada, US, and Europe.

  • Customer testimonies in their own words complaining about outages in the US, Europe, and Middle East. Not one customer. 10 customers.

  • Screen shots from Oracle's own SLA documentation showing that 3rd party downtime gets no service credits.

I looked up the author. He's a real industry expert on data center technology and open source software. He has a number of published books on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1939731178

https://www.amazon.com/Public-Cloud-Revolution-Explanations-Premises-ebook/dp/B07N2NVX46/

Maybe that's why no one from Oracle could hold a candle to this guy.

You can't argue against the truth.

Of course they will have constant outages.

The facilities are run by Cologix and Digital Realty.

They host hundreds of customers in those colocation facilities.

Oracle is just a tenant with an SLA.

If Cologix has a planned outage, every Oracle customer will have one.

Too many moving pieces and no single throat to choke.

Great article.

Look at the "References" section at the end.

A dozen customer testimonies in their own words all complaining about Oracle cloud outages.

In the US, Europe, and the Middle East.

Replys and post in link is all the fact...

Dxxb sales reps are saying that we own data center and those are operated by purely oracle full time employee, but fact is not.

There are huge number of unplanned outages. And i am not sure that customer aknowledge the downtime is happen. Reps are never say that

Oracle had so little confidence that it will be around in 3 yrs time that it can’t be bothered to invest in its own data centers plus its too busy wasting all the money it has on buying back stock - brilliant strategy by the 3 stooges led by the magnificent Turd himself. What a genius he is, NOT! He’s a turd!

If you've not noticed, this AA guy has some axe to grind with Oracle. His Brightwork Research claims to be unbiased but read anything he writes and there is clearly a bias. They get paid claiming to have knowledge and insight that no one else has. He found one example of a customer in Saudi Arabia that seems to be experiencing some trouble and expands that into a systemic problem with the entire Oracle cloud. That's a bit ridiculous. Then look at the comments on the linked article when he gets into a debate with the Oracle rep. This guy has no interest in solving a problem, he wants to make a name for himself and happens to not like Oracle. If the customer in Saudi Arabia is having a problem, there are plenty of Oracle people who can help them and this guy getting in the way just creates problems. It would be better if someone actually took a stand and shut him down already with actual arguments that will put him in his place.

Don't ever want to work at Oracle again. It's just a morbid fascination watching it all fall apart. The bigger question is do you realize the ship is sinking and if you still work at Oracle you are on a sinking ship? When the deck chairs start to slide you need to find a life boat ASAP.

Oracle should just give up on having a cloud. They have zero chance of catching up to AWS and Microsoft. Even google is trying to hang on by the thread at 3rd place

"Instead of building and operating their own data centers and private fiber network, Oracle leases colocation facilities from different operators. This introduces a number of problems for customers such as the one showcased here. Namely, unusually higher number of outages and much longer resolution times. Moreover, Oracle cloud customers do NOT receive service credits for either planned or unplanned downtime."

There you have it. FAKE CLOUD.

Look, oracle cloud is a complete and total joke. The only purpose it serves is to facilitate cloud fraud- making it seem a little less fraudulent, at least until you scratch the surface and discover that oracle cloud doesn’t even really exist.

One customer says that Oracle cloud SLA doesn't consider planned downtime as downtime. I bet customers love that. Total rip off.

There's an architect from GE Digital saying they have constant monthly and quarterly outages with Fusion apps. How much money are they losing every month using Oracle cloud?
