Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

What’s in store for next week?

I have a feeling that im just waiting for the weekend to pass. It just gives me more time to think about our faith, in light of the layoffs. I’ve noticed that no one is mentioning anything about layoffs that could come in the next week. In that sense I ask does anyone know if anything specific is rumored for next week, and if so, does anyone have any idea what locations could be affected?

Like folks noted below, we all expect cuts on the sales side sometimes in May - this happens due to the reporting calendar and how things get managed from the performance side.

The company is big, multiple geographies, verticals, P&Ls etc - each group may be different. I am assuming most of us here on TheLayoff.com are from the US - I've seen some posts from India as well - so if we are talking core US business, we'll probably see more movement in May (layoff-wise)

The financial year actually will begin on June 1st, and typically is the time when all the poor performer sales people get let go. Rolling layoffs are the status quo and have 't stopped since the Peoplesoft days over 10 years ago and unlikely to slow down now.

More layoffs, this coming week and the week after and the week after. As the song goes: this is the layoff that never ends, it just goes on and on my friends, the stooges started it ....
