This has been scheduled to go into effect by the end of Q2 in the east. My sources are extremely reliable. We will start to see job postings as soon as start of May for Lead solution specialist positions which will be a keyholder with managerial responsIbilities when the SM or GM is off or unavailable. Also confirmed store hour changes and closed sundays for stores that are low performing / low traffic.

This holds no truth! Fake post!
Guy from our store interviewed for a supervisor position and was told he had gotten a job at a call center, a week after they offered him the job they call him to say the offer had been rescinded, one week later they announced the call center was closing....just because a job is posted doesn't mean it's not going away.
We just found out today in the west we will be hiring a lead. Does this lead into laying off myself and our management team? Something is going on and getting half of the info is frustrating.
If you are a DM then you know Verizon will continue to hire and fill positions before eliminating them. Just like they did eliminating Experience specialist by combining into the hybrid inventory position. Then a few months later fired all of them.
This information is false, I am a DM in the east and we are hiring people in SM roles all over. Fake trolls starting rumors that are FALSE
This is fake news, this is untrue and they are hiring SM all over in the east.
I've had 10 different managers at my location in 2 years. The only manager that did any actual work got laid off for making too much money...
Trimming the Fat!!
Your dum......(see what i did there?) Lol
Honestly good. We dont need managers they literally just tell you what you already know.
Why can't we just go union already?
This is smart to make a over worked and underpaid "lead rep" as to limit the union penetration by giving a member of the rank and file leadership responsibilities and title so that way they have an advocate and make it difficult.
I really hope this rumor is true. It annoys me to watch my store management team do absolutely nothing to help with sales and yet still receives a commission check.
Why Verizon pays all these so called managers who do nothing but sit in the back and take personal phone calls all day is beyond me.
