It is past the half year point in 2019 and this year is supposed to be the last year of the so called "HPE Next" initiative that started about 3 years ago. Are any WFRs or Early retirement offers in the works? Time will tell.

Waiting for .... "The Machine" – Is that still a thing?
In Canada storage managers been with HP inc -HPE, start from school days and need to be replaced. They have driven aways good 3PAR storage Sales exec,s in the past 3 yrs.
In order for HPE server and storage to do well - Canadian country manager she- should consolidate Storage into their main server sales force - Get new life into sales org - people who know servers and storage technology. If this change is not done by early 2021 - HPE canada will go down as another tech company.
Please agree or disagree ?
HPE is managed by managers and executives who only care about their bonuses despite driving the company to the ground - wrecking the lives of employees and shareholders. They are corrupt and defunct as a box provider - the only thing keeping them afoat is the large installed base as they live off the exorbitant support revenues. Hardware has been a commodity for decades....HPE is still in a death spiral....the work environment is toxic... the talent is long gone...
Yeah, the stock has been stagnant which means the board might try to nudge it up by any means including some new 'HPE Next' (euphemism for purge) initiative.
They're in a dog fight with Nutanix, Dell EMC, and Pure Storage for Hyper Converged systems so there is still that market left for hybrid clouds. But layoffs will be continuous because cost cutting is the only way to keep their stock afloat short of innovation which takes a long time.
They still exist and are quite large. How long remains to be seen. The PC/printing side HPQ was considered the loser side but they have been doing better than HPE although I suspect the 21st century is catching up with both side now.
At last count they still have 60,000 workers
Does HPE still exist? I thought by now there wouldn't be many people left.
