Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Keep an eye out for tire-kickers

Based on my experience elsewhere:

Keep an eye out for non-employees visiting facilities and asking questions.

They could be potential buyers of all or part of Windstream. Alternately, they might be consultants for one of the creditor groups sizing up the situation.

It's probably early for that now.

"We have had a few in our offices. I think the next big thing will be office consolidation after they downsize people."

Mike, could you tell who these people were working for and what they were checking out? Consultants for management, consultants for creditors or potential buyers?

Was this the ILEC side or the CLEC side?

They may come in and not have a day badge if they are with management. Management sure isnt going to tell you.

What would another company really want? Equipment that people no longer use??? It's sure not our customer database
