Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

English should be made as business language in all internal meetings at Bangalore office

I work at Bangalore office and I am from state of Tamilnadu . I see many members in our team and different teams of Bangalore office keep talking in Hindi and different languages during internal meetings and not in English , which is causing serious trouble to many people. As all you know India is a country which houses hundreds of languages .While doing technical discussions also we see many people communicating in Hindi and other languages , thus making some guys in the crowd not to understand .English is the official language of sabre India office .management and all directors should direct their team members to use English as the language of communication for all official discussions in Bangalore.Sabre is a technology driven company and t remain it as technology driven company , It is very much essential to have all communications in the official language which is English for Sabre India office

You have to report that.

Escalate it high directly to headquarters and they will listen.

Funny thing is that it happens in Sabre Southlake as well when several Indian employees speak in Hindi during a meeting and there is nothing we can do. If I say something then I am a racist intolerant American.

What about KRK they hardly speak English and they don’t complain like you and they think they are great. So Stop cribs and showing BLR down

If they are harrassing you due to your ethnic origin - please call the Ethics line and it will be processed correctly.

The language should be understandable by all participants. That's clear. So I have two questions:

  1. Do you mention it during the meeting? (If no-don't expect to be heard)

  2. Are the participants actively refusing your request to use English? (If yes-they should be fired).

On the other hand Sabre is not a technology driven company. The buzzwords of the executive team mean nothing confronted to reality. We are still marketing driven company. We are selling not available features to customers and then we join a death race to deliver them on time. (Confirmed by the marketing to the customer). Soon we will be a tech-debt driven company - straight to the bottom.
