Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

BBB layoffs today

So it happened. I'm so glad that it only effected the support staff for my store In particular (thus far) and I pray it doesn't go further. The people in my store are like family, we are a great team. But ST needs to go along with DP I think our company is great but can do better and wothout those who drag us down we can go even further. I really like JM and think he is doing a great job. But I think more recognition needs to be given to those who are on the front lines inside the stores. Not to mention 1-800 should be trained in a store first then maybe our customers will get the same amount of customer service no matter what. To all that still remains you obviously deserve to be here and I wish everyone continued success. Good job everyone! We can do this!

Why does the company allow administrative assistants that sit on their butt in the office? DP has JW and what does he do for his salary? WHY?

They laid off dept mgrs based on salary, time and AGE. I was just contacted by a law firm asking questions about unpaid overtime and the way layoffs were done. I will also add this firm has been successful against bbb in the pass. Oh man I can’t wait to spill the beans on bbb!! I’ve got my paperwork all lined up

Hate to say it the days of lay offs is over they will dwindle month by month to avoid lawsuits from now on........ The next is Asm’s followed or with(to hide Asm’s) full timers(Rest of old timers)( vested in 401k) they will still payment on employees as far as they can to once again seem more profitable! That’s all business is and wealth and power and buying capital and run on sentences and blah blah blah
