Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Who will do the work?

Now that they cut even more people from our team, I'm just wondering who'll do all the work they still expect to be done. Do they think we're going to pick up even more responsibilities with no extra pay? Will we be expected to now do the work of three, four people instead of just two?

That certainly seems to be the brilliant plan behind the latest cuts... I'm just not sure how that'll work out for them in the end.

You will do the work until you crack and go bananas then quit.

Do the work? No, that’s not the plan. The whole point of fraud and cloud fraud is no exception is to get the money without having to do the work or delivery any products/ services - they don’t call it fraud for nothing. How do you think SC expects to get 80% margins on cloud - can’t do that with real, honest work, can only get that with cloud fraud where oracle gets money for nothing.

A few of those RIFd were horrible to work with and/or hated progress. Some were well past expiration. And some worked on old dying products.

That's hysterical! Please let us know how it goes when you go to management and request headcount to backfill the rif's!

These re-orgs were not thought out at all, we are now loosing people who do engineering, and specialized apps. We had teams that worked with us for OCI-C they fired all of them and all we are told now is we dont have the manpower to do the work. It may be something that only US Citizens can touch now all the teams are overseas. Good Plan Oracle..

Good questions! I have found that the the times I think we need more people to keep up with the work are the times the Big O lays off in those very teams.

Followed by massive hiring sprees. They're not just low performers that get hit, so who knows? Maybe there is a lottery or a corporate dart board somewhere. shrug

The answers are: You, that’s who. Yes. Again, yes.

Things are going to get worse before they get better, according to this analysis.
