As we all know, if we leave early now, we get points on our record. So with that being said, I’m an overnight associate and I have noticed many times where associates, managers, and team leads are all just hanging out at the patio set while that 9 minute mark hits. Our night crew comes in at 9:30 and the whole store looks like a complete trash can. No one is zoning or preparing the club for the night crew to stock. Is this going to happen also with night crew going to days? I can’t even imagine them stocking until 1130pm when they can’t even zone. Horrible management all around! :(

Unfortunately just like most things at Sams it depends on who's a-- you kiss or who is afraid of you how this point system will affect you.I have already seen several people's schedule adjusted at the last minute to accommodate the privileged ones. The only problem I personally have with it is considering they rolled it out in the middle of flu season I feel they should have let us convert at least a day or 2 of our existing PTO to PPTO until we could build a couple days up. I so far have been healthy but working along side others who should have stayed home I won't be surprised if I get sick soon.
Same thing at my club, I work overnight and I come in 10-15 mins before my start time to a breakroom full of associates standing there talking and waiting for the clock. Before they all would have punched out and saved the club those minutes in payroll.
If they're sitting around doing nothing and stealing time then they should all be term'd. Always something to do but if for whatever reason you are done then the manager cuts everyone and has to go in an manually remove the half point.
