Members will soon have their options of having a regular membership or upgrading to Plus reduced to a Plus Membership only. You will no longer be able to use another members card, cards are no transferable and after a courtesy warning that will be given to the member that cards are not transferable, future results could lead up to suspension of their membership. You can not go to a gym and not have your own membership and expect to be allowed to work out for free. You have to be a paying member of a golf club to play 18 holes of golf, you can’t just show up with your buddies membership card and expect to be allowed to 18 holes and then lounge around the members only clubhouse afterwards. Non-Members are committing fraud by purchasing items when they do not have their own membership card.

I almost believe this because our club hasnt gotten any regular membership cards in and really management seems more worried about credit and auto renew not so much about plus ..i hope they do it

So Netflix knows how many users are logged into your account, and Apple Music sends a message when more than one person is using your account, but Sam’s Club has no way to keep six people from using Scan and Go with only 1 Membership??
Strip the club back down to what it was meant to be, a no frills warehouse club. Enough with the 30 different models of televisions, pick 10 or so and sell them at the One Day Event price ALL THE TIME! 5 different types of Bounty Paper Towels is crazy! Do we really need 6 different size boxes of Kleenex? 20 different varieties of Frito Lay chips?? Deer Park 8oz, 16.9oz, 20oz, 24oz sport cap, 1 liter and gallon jugs... really? Reduce the water sku’s and please get back that 6pk of Manwich cans that people ask for every freaking day! Does any members ever buy the plates, knife sets, or ceramic mugs we sell at full price? I only see people buy them when they are marked down. Reduce the Bakery, which seems to be really good at donating huge amounts of product to food banks and not being great at making money, and put in 3 or 4 more chicken ovens! Someday the Sunday after church crowd is going to break out into a full blown riot while people elbow each other to get a sizzling hot out of the oven chicken before they have to wait another hour for the next load. Expand HBA, it has a great markup and people keep getting old and sick.
Oh, and finally, one membership, $100 a year.

It's funny how Costco holds a higher standard, and sticks to it and has the better reputation. Sam's is all about not caring about the rules or associates. It's about money money money. Get rid of this position and don't hire as many people. No more pallet skirts, every dollar makes us look better. It's not their membership card? Accept it anyway. They just look like an old man that's been stranded at sea for weeks, and suddenly gets all the food he's been needing. Except with Sam's it's money instead of food being shoved into their pockets. We have a Costco card. It's my husband and his mother on the account. So when I need to go, my husband goes with me. Costco wins my business in other ways. If you have to bend the rules to get someone to like you then it's safe to say there are some other issues that need to be tended to. Sam's will never learn... And it starts at the top.

They're very strict about this at Costco. And guess what? Sam's loves to copy Costco...
There are no checks and balances for this. This membership isn't the same as a gym membership, you think Sam's is going to turn down paying customers. Card or no card they still pay money to buy stuff.
