OCI-C Compute LCM responsible for building ops tools. They also troubleshoot and fix various issue for Compute and customers. Transferring Compute LCM to OCI is a huge mistake. OCI folks don't understand/care about Compute LCM. So they went with the easy approach: If you don't understand it, get rid of it.
So much for OCI values (a big joke btw)
OCI teams are also affected, and not just "people who moved from OCIC". People who were hired directly into OCI.
How so? Any non classic ppl got it?
So far I was the only one affected from the OCIC Automation team. There will likely be more in the near future. Hearing how bad this latest layoff was, I suppose it is a good time to look for new opportunities. I would encourage those not affected by the layoffs do the same. It’s unfortunate that Larry doesn’t value his employee assets.

Expect and embrace change ... (I guess OCI people will find that out in a couple of years)
Confirmed. I know person who was there for 20+ years, ready to retire, now they get a nice severance instead. Jokes on Oracle.
About 3 weeks ago they integrated the OCI-C Infrastructure team to OCI
so sad, OCI-C is just a boot loader. 80% plus of PSM related products gone today as well.
It's an open secret OCI-C team is being replaced by OCI team in Seattle.
For the most part, it seems OCI team in Seattle is not willing to rescue employees from OCI-C team.
Layoff in OCI-C team started last September ; OCI team even has created a tool to convert existing customers from OCI-C to OCI.
.
Oal
