Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Having trouble hiring

I'm surprised with all the talk of more cuts - considering that we're having trouble filling the positions that have been created by more and more people leaving.

Nobody wants to work here anymore. Fewer people are applying for jobs, and when they do...let's just say they wouldn't be my first or eleventh choice for the position.

If we continue like this, who will do the work?

I have a theory, what is the benefit of having a hiring center? So if the higher ups want to save a bit of cash, just call the hiring centers and tell them to stall on new applicants so the store managers are most likely going to have to pick up the extra free labor for them!

I wish I had my 20 years with this company back. Top performer , high volume , low shrink, high engagement, flag ship store , emerging leader , DM then I was tossed out the door ! Advice if you want it , get the guck out now , no performance documentation ever , someone will come along that does not like you and you r done

Or unemployment is at an all time low

And they have to pay more because they can’t get anyone otherwise

Peace out

The constant training of new hires with zero payroll for it is so exhausting.

People don’t want to work here, once they find out what is actually expected of them.

Best day of my Career is the day I left CVS...just a horrible company with horrible leadership from the top down.. hiring was impossible and with absolutely no help from the DM and I Was expected to work doubles until the store was hired up..safe to say I never worked a double because I quit and got a better job...never be afraid to bet on yourself and don’t let these horrible companies hold u hostage...make them pay u to look for another job!!good luck to all those looking!!

....and guess what? No one in CVS cares... zero. As long as there is one person left in the store to blame for CVS' incompetent programs and leadership, they are fine.

As one other said, we are the bottom of the barrel. A quick Google search of what it's like working here scares people away. Nobody wants to work here unless they are truly desperate. It's sad. Luckily I'm closing in on a deal with another company so I can get off this ship before it completely sinks. No more breaking my back for 65-70 hours a week.

Try Northern California, req open 15 days ZERO applications. Mcdonalds and taco bell pay 3 more dollars an hour staring. We are bottom of barrel, literally the candidates that cant get hired anywhere else come work for us.
