Tire Sales Desk Associate has been eliminated, what are other associates being offered.

Our tire sales desk associate in my club got turned over from personnel, accounting, and membership champ. The position elimination follows her around like a dark cloud!
I've been at Sam's almost 30 years. Techs come and go. Not sure where they are moving me to. I know the department will suffer without me. Several members only like dealing with me. Wish they offered us a severance package.
Selling tires is not hard the member came in to guy those tires. Its not like hes going out into the club and trying to get members to buy tires.
our TBC area is already in such disarray.. this is going to compound it even further. Basically losing all our techs.. (most aren't worth much anyway TBH) and TBC will be starting from scratch with a new team lead and whatever transfers/hires they can get. Our desk associate while not perfect has been with the company over 30 years and does more to sell tires than anyone else in that department. They just don't realize the loss but they will this time next year when sales are half what they are now (already down from last year primarily due to staffing...hard selling tires when people don't know when they will be put on because half the crew calls off half the time)
Our club has never had a DSA, our tire techs just do everything.
