Club pick up

Just curious what other full time club pick up associates were told.... I’ve been with company 20 years and was told I had first choice but that Wednesday and Thursday off was my only option for days off if I work the early shift. Anybody else get any other options for their days off with early shifts?

Without a doubt the dumbest part of the changes. The floor will not have time to stock and pull orders.

You will still have your primary area and will cross train in carts and vise versa incase they need you to work that area. I don’t believe you will necessarily be doing both in the same shift in case absolutely necessary. You will be scheduled for one or the other. The hope is to build Club Pick Up so that you stay very busy. You might be pulling orders that come in after you get to work I’m not sure about that though. The idea is to empower associates to take care of members no matter what their needs are and regardless of where you work. Own the whole store and give excellent member service by being able to assist the members even if what they need is not in your job area.

Been with the company 25 years. So I got to pick the 6-230 shift. I requested Sunday Monday off and was told they had to see if all shifts could be covered. If not, I'll have to work Sundays. So ridiculous when our busiest days are Monday thru Friday. And to have us hanging around the front end doing non committal busy work while we wait for our members to walk in the door is insane. Our members care more about their orders being done the way they like them done than being out the door in 2.5 minutes. Can't teach all floor partners about all the member's idiosyncrasies. Our regulars are not going to be happy. They clearly didn't talk to club pickup associates before making this decision. Not like that's a new issue though. I'm so annoyed for us and our regular members. This company is k--ling itself.

If we are outside pushing carts how are we supposed to know someone is here to pick up an order? Are we supposed to carry a scanner outside in the elements? And you can only be so far from the building for the scanner to work!

You will no longer be club pick up you will be Member Assist Associates! Merchandiser on floor will pull the orders you will get them for members when they come to pick them up Process them so members can get them out the door and you will have to learn Parking lot attendants job (carts)! Parking lot attendants will be Members Assist Associates as well and will have to know how to get the club pick up orders for members and process them to get them out the door. 6am to 2:30 or 1:-9:30 shifts picked by seniority first.

Those of you who work Club Pick Up absolutely know that Monday-Friday is our prime time, hands down. Weekends is our slow time as businesses want their orders Monday-Friday as to skip trying to come in on the weekends as we are slammed by regular members.

Want to slot other associates into Club Pick Up? OK, but be prepared for orders to go out not being dispensed or worse yet orders given out but not charged for. This is going on more and more as more people are being instructed to “assist” Club Pick Up.

While this whole block scheduling sounds good on paper, when did they listen when they were told about needing help in Club Pick Up as orders are growing bigger and bigger and we are getting busier and busier? Now we are seeing bigger orders and more of them coming in due in a hour. No way can one person pick this many items in one hour, no way. You will burn your crew out and there goes your Club Pick Up people who helped grow Club Pick Up.

It looks like things are going to get worse before they get better and some will go, some will stay. What one hopes is that each Club looks at their Club Pick Up staff and listens otherwise Club Pick Up will be a mess that will get out of hand, real fast.

If we all work both weekend days who is going to be here during the week when we are busiest? I guess someone else can deal with our regular members who can be very demanding.

If your managers are not letting you the longest seniority people choose your days off including Sat and Sun they are lying to you and subverting clear direction from home office. If it is not the CM doing the lying then it is your MM or Regional GM that is subverting the clear direction from HO.

Yes, Alot of people in different departments got first choice of what days they want off. There are alot who chose Saturday & Sunday. That includes click and pull, c-gare--es, and merchandisers.

I am the longest club pick up associate at my club all together 5 years, although our ptc just joined because of their position being terminated and that was fine. But because we had a full time carts associate I was 3rd man on the tenured list and got stuck with all closing shifts. I was asked what 2 days I wanted off but I am a single parent and have my kids every other week and this schedule dosent work for me. I had a set schedule before all of this and now my life and my kids life have been flipped by this stupid money grubbing home office. Just wanting to line their pockets and I bet they get to go home to their familys at a decent time. Or make it to little Sally's soccer game on Saturday.

Depends on head count. If only one FT morning associate, then yes, the days off will be set.
