Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Another change

Dear SAMS corporate,

I see you are spearheading lots of new changes. I have another suggested change for you: Take my name off the damned building. You no longer adhere to my values so my name doesn't need to adhere to your club any longer. Ask associates what to rename the club. They are the source of your best ideas. Sincerely, Mr. Sam

@1dm ... whaaa whaaa what you say there! The horror! If only they treated their people well. Not even sure anyone above regional level even knows how horrible they are treating those on the front line or care to. Most hourly home office employees sure don't. They would not be in this situation if anyone cared. They will just close any locations where union activity is a problem. Claiming some type of "plumbing" issue like they did with a Walmart. Then re-opened it later with the "problem" children not rehired back after its closing. Never needed a union when we worked for Walmart years ago because we knew how to treat people. These managers above club level are just tools that don't know what their doing. Maybe they do need the stress of more union activity to light the people fire under them.

It's truly sad. You actually won't realize your worth until you leave that horrendous place. I missed Mr Sam's values for years. They have become a laughable concepts by home office, regionals, market mgrs and most others who never got the opportunity to learn, live and appreciate his legacy.

Just copied from another thread;

That would be quiet a show of solidarity and months of planning never mind having to have a spokesperson to tell the company what the associates wanted. One day would not do it, it would have to be at least a week, with the public backing so someone would not go in and take your $11 per hour job. Oh wait, then we all become organized labor which at H/O is referred to as "Union", then we are all fired. Face it; the DC's make more money than the stores, H/O does not care that associates make $11 per hour and think that a 2%, that is twenty two cents per hour, raise is an adequate cost of living raise, there is NO reason to be out of work, so you had a baby - to bad - you were not here long enough to approve your LOA - you were two days short - should have kept that little baby in for two more days - sorry - terminated attendance.

They do not care that a great deal of associates are getting government assistance.

Bring back the merit raises, bring back the pride in working for Mr. Sam's company. You want this company to be great again - start treating your associates with respect like Mr. Sam did. H/O can't fill one of Mr. Sam's shoes much less two.

But, I tell you, let that stock fall to less than $50 per share - now that will get some attention.
