I was just informed that 2 holidays are being taken off the list of days we get time and a half, (or holiday pay) Veterans Day and Easter. What’s next taking away Christmas? This cutting back on everything is really screwing us! I thought Easter was a major holiday?

Customers ALWAYS say it’s disgraceful your store is open on a holiday! I say, then why are you here?
Easter is not the holiday to take away. It s---s to work on Easter and all the customers tell you they feel sorry for you but then you say you get holiday pay and it barely makes it worth it.

Anyone know if they’re going to go any further with this? I mean if they take away double time on Christmas, and yet still remain open, a lot of people are going to freak!
She does have a lot of faults (not that I don’t too). We get along great but my frustration with her is the problem a lot of CVS folks have: she is reactive and not proactive. But it’s a tough job and I know because I used to do it.

Took me by surprise too. Full-time folks like myself do get two floating holidays now which is like 2 vacation days, but no more OT pay on those two holidays. No one actually told us at my store. I saw the two floating holidays and had to google what was going on. Saves CVS payroll even if they our paying floating holidays to some people.
