The “ major news source” has the facts wrong. All of these stores ALREADY closed as a normal course of business just like always just like every year.... nothing to see here move along ...... or revel in it.
I mean this is just incorrect information. Call any of the stores that this list says will close. They aren’t there ...buildings are empty. The writer pulled the list from investor information and made up the rest.
They were not reported in 1st quarter😀only reported today on major news sources😀yesterday it was all positive on 1st quarter 😀today this and no response to employees on these closings🤨had to read it online😀talk about a snow job🤣
You’re aware that they close about 98 stores a year, and open roughly the same each year. Why is this post getting responses?

These stores already closed. The writer doesn’t have his facts straight. These were reported in the earnings for the first quarter. Closed 4/1
All had leases that expired and they were losing money

One of the stores closing in Minnesota, used to be billed as the largest CVS in the world, at 64,000 square feet!
The ones from Alabama needed to close - they do like 10-12k fs and 1200 scripts - and they have sister stores very close , like 3 miles away in each direction. Smart move if you ask me
Another round of closings scheduled for 5/15 tumor is 81 stores , Texas and Sc and Tennessee

I'm from Alabama, not from the three that closed but the city's listed are 2 of the top few in population so that's a bad sign.
