I got mine via USPS today - yay!
Hope it doesn't bounce LOL!
I’m in the SE, left 3/29. My severance check was direct deposited 5/3.
We should have it no later than next friday 5/10, if you dont have it by then contact HR!
BTW, for those of you that had problems/delays, are you really surprised that this f---ed up company cant get this sh-- straight?
I just want my severance check and finally be done with that POS company!
Regarding Severance Pay, while on Payroll I did have Direct Deposit. Upon leaving (last day on payroll 2/18/2019) I received last 2 pay checks via USPS Mail Delivery to my on record Address. (Check dates 02/01/2019 through 02/15/2019 and 02/16/2019 through 02/18/2019). Included on last check was payout for Carryover Vacation (11 days not taken from 2018 Vacation Allotment) and 6 accrued Days earned for 2019). Severance Pay was also received in check form delivered by USPS Mail. Once removed from Active Employee Status all interactions is through USPS Mail unless you call ATT Benefits. This has been my experience going through this process.
The Severance Checks will be directed deposited with May 6th pay cycle. There was some glitches in the process and are some Managers will not get their severance into the May 21st process. What’s most disturbing about this is “why are severance payments tied to the same pay cycles as active management?”
I was able to have all my other matters in order (e.g. 401K, Pension, Healthcare, and even my Social Security), but still waiting on AT&T to “show me the money.”
This is NOT the same company that was with for 45 years. So glad I’m out. Retirement is wonderful. I feel for all those still with the company or the younger ones who might be forced out in this next wave of layoffs.
Randall Stephenson and John Donovan have been instrumental in taking this company down. I laughed when Donovan says that “lay-offs” are what keeps him up at night because we’re people, not just “numbers.” “All” we are are just “numbers” and it’s just a matter of not if, but when, your number comes up.
I haven't received mine yet, but figure they'll wait until Day 45 to send it.
My last day at work was 2/18. It was exactly 5 weeks later that I received my severance check. I'm in CA.
I’m in the SE and HR said the severance will deposit on the 6th of May. Do you all know if it is different in each region? If there is a question, I’m pretty sure your HR surplus assistant will be able to answer your question.
I was wondering the same. I hit the accept button on 3-29 before packing up my laptop, so far received my last pay check and vacation pay but no severance.
Go to the https://access1.sbc.com/ site, click BENEFITS and then you can see your PAY STUBS there, including the SEVERANCE paycheck. It came as a paper check from Accounts Payable about a little over a month after my last day.
CORRECTION ....look for ACCOUNTS PAYABLE......not PAYROLL.... on the envelope.
I also suggest you sign up for INFORMED DELIVERY with the US Postal service if available in your area. They will send you daily emails of snapshots of letter sized mail coming your way so you will know when it will show up in your mailbox......look for PAYROLL on the envelope.
I was surplussed Dec 2017....it took about 60 days for the severance check to come
HR said it will be direct deposit on the 6h
I have not received it yet.
I haven’t got mine yet. I called the att benefits twice and they told me it would be 45 days. We’ll see if that’s true.
I received mine but i opted out on February 18, 2019... ... I got it around last week of March.. first week of April... ... taxes k--led...
