Nestlé will keep both Brands. However it’s not DSD..
No offense but who cares how much sense it makes for them to sell, only thing that matters is if we have jobs or not. And obviously the investors and corporate Nestle wouldn’t care about its employees livelihood.
No inside information ,but I think it’s one of these 5 things - 1 selling DSD distribution rights to another national company and paying them to deliver our product (Schwann’s Dean Foods Borden’s) 2.ice cream has been sold and taking pizza warehouse. 3.moving everything to warehouse . 4. Ice cream and pizza both have been sold . 5.giving all small format accounts to distributors and we will service all large format accounts 2 step with additional Nestle beverage items . Vote 1 2 3 4 5
Let’s think about this realistically. Pizza and ice cream are two of the most unhealthiest products made. The millennial generation being vegan non-GMO conscious. The times have changed to a more healthier living life style pizza and ice cream or not the future it’s been a great ride is finally coming to an end .
Seattle has a meeting for the PNW. ASL will be there and am told Oregon’s DSLs are coming but not their workers.
Remember Kraft Sold Pizza to buy Cadbury.. Nestlé wanted ti buy it because of their frozen presence. At the time it was a great move.
In ATL everyone has to go to the Hilton on Virginia Ave. The outer folks in Montgomery, AL. TN, etc..will be on a call. The warehouse ppl will have a meeting at the Lawrenceville warehouse both shifts. The DSL’s have no idea what is going on.The ASL’s are all offline and not answering phone calls. They don’t want to have to answer questions. They are under a NDA. An email came out on Thursday from all ASL’s with the same verbiage to DSL’s and them to communicate to the frontline. You were told to except the meeting request and DSL’s were supposed to make sure their folks were going. And whoever thinks Kraft is buying pizza back, you’re seriously out of your minds! Why do you think they got rid of it in the first place! Geeez.
There are only a few people that really
Know the answers. Or a directors and executive management. Out of our pay grade..
Warehouses managers and supply chain managers were at the secret meeting in Chicago last week so they are impacted.
500 posts, and Zero actual insight. Turns out the only this company is good at is keeping secrets from the backbone of the company.
We Made 45,000 ,50,000 20 years ago.
If nestle did sell, then warehouse would def be at meeting as it affects EVERYONE....I guess we all wait and see what tuesday brings.
All I got to say is after 14 years I better not get handed a just 1 extra two-week check at the end
Cuz the hulk may smash !
Dont schwans and home run pizza and other frozen food reps make like 40-45k a year? So why y'all complaining about the pay
Meeting in Boston for New England Region.
I won't miss hearing how bad are company is from the stores and how we are always out of stuff and why they aren't getting a delivery
At all or before door closes
All depots in Northern Ohio Region meeting in Cleveland.
After countless of lazy coworkers who wouldn't put a order up that was delivered for weeks on end The DSL didn't even care. Take pictures ? For what?
You haven't done anything to fix it yet !!! all they cared was a body in that postion
There is also meetings in Orlando for N FL and Tampa for S Florida
Our dsl pretty much sounded like he was crying on our conference call. Not trying to sound bitter but after 15 years or working here with him as my boss it's the first time he sounded concerned. He isn't answering anyone's calls or text. Also our asl took a differnt postion so I'm sure he seen something coming liken this.
Of course we have thought that it may have sold and the new employer will need us. But it is just one of many possibilities. The other possibilities being a lot scarier. So forgive us if we are all stressed and worried. Pretty sure that is the normal response. It is scary to think you might be losing your job. I was counting towards retirement and now I am worried I will be starting over and losing my pension.
Nestle has a bad history of taking a vantage of their employees. buyouts or transition from one company to the next. They are foreign company that doesn’t report to Wall Street.
Whew!! one more work day to go. Tomorrow will be the most annoying. If I could walk around with a do not disturb sign on me I definitely would.
If there is "water all over the floor", you're doing it wrong, numbnuts.
Re: Where are the meetings being held?
I know of meetings in Charlotte and Atlanta. Our DSL is going to Charlotte. None of the route guys are going we will be on conference calls. From this thread I have saw that there will be meetings in Sacramento and Chicago as well. Not sure where else.
Why are you bringing up safety cones....when I see kids, mothers carrying babies and there is water all over the floor.....I'm using safety cones ..
Texted ASL if we needed to worry about our jobs. Text was read but not answered. If the answer was we dont need to worry I would have got a reply. Maybe not everyone is losing their job but they are not guaranteed or would have least got a dont worry response.
Has anyone taken a second the think that maybe just maybe it’s possible that a portion or all of whatever business you’re all in has been sold? That being the case wouldn’t you think that they would need employees to continue to deliver the great customer service that we’ve possibly been bought for? Everyone is all gloom and doom and no one has a f---ing clue what’s happening. If the company has been so bad for so long then you whinny little b--ches should’ve quit long ago.
The safety cones we never use.....even tho it goes against us for surprise work with xD It doesn’t take a genius to keep an eye and make sure no one runs into your cart, and it doesn’t take cones around a truck to know if someone’s parked too close behind ya. The FHF and risk predictions don’t help keep us safe. And not allowing us to use the side door just makes us have to climb the back of the truck to avoid using the slow moving, if even working, lift gate for less than a 20 case DG order. The things Nestle cares about are the wrong things. And you didn’t see us getting the bonuses for 3 years accident free. A lame book bag was all. A lot easier to be safe while working if we weren’t getting more and more to do with each reroute, and were actually ever fully staffed. Sadly, I actually enjoy and take pride in my job. Will miss it.
I know everyone in California is headed up to Sacramento. They are paying for hotles monday night and the meeting will be an hour and a half. 730 to 9. All neslte employees from sales to dsl to ask to warehouse people will be there. This is coming from hr I called to ask some questions. It's not mandatory but there saying it would be good to there. Also asked if I should start looking for another job hr rep said they cannot answer yes or no. Hope this helps.
safety cones ? what are those
I’m sick of hearing about all accidents being preventable. It’s an accident they should call it on purpose
After 7 years inside over 60+ stores I only used my stupid Safety Cones maybe a 6-7 times.
I honestly feel bad for the ones who only know this job. The ones who look foward to saying after the meeting an extra hour off the clock to smell the dsl farts. To the guy who loves being at work then rather be at home with there familys. To the person who asks to work on holidays and chases around the store managers begging for displays. I hope they can cope with whatever happens. Peace out people good luck shout out from sol cal go bruins.
Where are these meetings being held at
Here’s the thing, none of us have a clue what’s going on. We may very well be going warehouse but there’s not one account that will need to hire to fill our product. Even if you spend 3 hours a week just merching your space alone “Now Hiring” signs won’t be popping up everywhere.
As far as everyone blaming each other, just stop. Everyone from frontline, management and HR will be affected. I’ve worked for 3 different vendor companies and Nestle takes home the medal for disorganization. Routing is laughable and our warehouse can’t keep up during peak summer and winter months. So please go through this as a team and be there for each other for whatever shoe drops.
Im hearing Tony Sarsam and Borden dairy....just rumors nothing confirmed. This just shows that nobody knows wth is going on...its all just speculation until tuesday. Im guessing nestle sold the pizza/ice cream dsd....to who, who knows.
Now we know it’s bad...warehouse in attendance...
IT’S A MANDATORY MEETING PPL! ASL’s, DSL and down the food chain. Our warehouse and all shifts will be in attendance. 10:30 est...tic toc
DSLs WILL be attending the meeting along with ASLs
