Cost saving measures now leaves first responders at risk. If Firstnet sectors that go down after normal hours they are now left off air to save overtime for on call techs!!! So for example if X sector covers a fire station and the sector fails on Friday night it will be dead until Monday morning. I don't think the sales teams are telling people about this what a waste for Band 14.

These are all features that run on the data network, that are not part of First Net offering, not on separate core. Available to First Net subscribers Yes.

Just curious if all the PIM issues have been resolved on the FN B14 side? Outage is least of our worries.

I would doubt that they would put in a lot totally different cell sites for this buildout. Seems like a lot of the money is going to the rural areas to expand coverage. The antenna changeover is putting a lot of spectrum into play.
I just wish they would test the FN SW updates better . T pushed a SW update 2-3 months ago that totally wrecked roaming from cell to cell. Luckily it only took them about a week to fix it. This was in the Raleigh area.
Let's not forget that FN software development was sent to India, where T is adding jobs while laying off in the US. Wait till the Donal finds out!

This is mostly true. FirstNet is oftentimes on a lower frequency bands, which gives it a further footprint and also penetrates buildings much better than the 1900 or higher bands the 2nd or 3rd carriers are using.
So if a FirstNet sector is off air tha serves a fre station, etc it would roll over to whichever sector or carrier is next in line. And yes, those other sectors may not provide coverage into that area or building.
That is the entire reason FirstNet is built off of the lower band (to provide the best possible coverage available to First Responders)

Still waiting to see that massive 1stnet build out in the SE. I haven't seen the 1st service order for fiber to a new AT&T cell site for 1stnet yet. I have had a couple of orders where T set a new cell site right next to an existing Crown Castle site(apparently there was a contract dispute between the two). I seriously doubt 1stnet will "connect everyone where they live, work, and play" like AT&T is supposed to do now
So you are saying there are on call techs that can be dispatched if the situation requires? That could be problematic if a major hurricane hits on a Friday night with no warning.

Since First Net is a data only network, that is fully incorporated with existing network. Unless it's an area with no other coverage then it should be treated as any other outage, or fault. There is nothing life or death about First Net. Just an over hyped data network, that generates extra revenue.
That’s a huge safety issue. Literally could mean the difference between life and death. If true , you should really blow the whistle on this. Tell your local news station. Or a national news station. Just not cnn lol
