It is good job to leave for. But should anything be read into this like he did not leave any money on the table since CHK stock will never go up. In other words his options were NOT a golden handcuff
Yeah not sure about that other than he will get paid regardless of performance because that’s how it works in this industry. They are in the midst of cutting 20% of the workforce. Only 340 employees so he might have to cut the grass in six months.
I mean he was named CEO at Laredo Petroleum. I don't see how you really read more into this than: he got a good opportunity and took it.
