The question now is will they start slashing now or wait until the merger is complete? I think it will be a combination of both.

Is this inside info or pure speculation? I do think a massive culling of the workforce is coming, but it will be bigger than just sales. They want to slash the number of platforms and titles with the commodification strategy, which is going to mean big cuts in product and marketing. Editorial teams will be decimated.
@YJkjoNV-psz No, of course not, nobody want's it, the other publishers are disgusted with Cengage's attempt to transform unique content into a commodity and in the process dragging everyone through the mud, plus CU has done nothing but cannibalize their own units and shrink revenue by the tens of millions. It will be an across the stack layoff, under-performing territories will be shuttered and taken inside, weak DM's will be canned and territories will be consolidated as well as reps. In the end, the very worst personalities you can imagine will be left at Cengage and they'll all have 30% more workload. Get out while you can.
