Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Integrity 2.0

HR needs to complete a thorough investigation into the manipulation of in store pick up transactions in OH. Some of the leaders that came up with this shady practice knew exactly what they were doing and their spin of how it was “only being done to benefit customers” are just lies and they and everybody else knows it. Stores that wouldn't embrace it were looked down upon. Such business practices are disgraceful and our leadership team should not tolerate such. A couple of the leaders involved have now been promoted and while others just looked the other way. A great message to send when preaching about integrity. S---ing up in social media, etc. goes a long way. Great leadership choices.

In Store Pickup has been the push for almost 4 years, long before it became compensatory for reps who would check out the customer arriving for their pickup. The next phase is working to pull product out from stores inventory to ship directly to someone who needs an order for same day delivery. Telesales will process the orders online and you'll have the pickup order in SAP for your system. They've also been/were testing accessory shipment straight from store to consumer versus having to ship from a warehouse; These are still ongoing trials. Verizon WANTS people to pickup online, it requires less overhead and the stores can exist but on a much smaller, compact scale. Realizing this in 2019 when it's been happening for several years, well, you probably thought the Mueller report was going to indict Trump too...

Reps don’t think of this as getting the best deal for the customer. They are thinking about their overall numbers. They want perks such as winners circle or possibly presidents cabinet at the end of the year. GMs want the same thing, so they push the agenda.

Lmao like the last person stated. This is only going to go up as fees in store are going up. All you Solution specialists better get your money while you still can. Use every tool you have to make the sale ! I don’t believe in screwing over customers. I do believe in using Verzion promos against Verizon though !!!!’ Retail is going bye bye 2019. Good Luck

The people that don't like discussion about it are more than likely the ones doing it.

The diabolical plan of some people that have been successful in reducing denominators and getting themselves job promotions. While continuous buyouts and layoffs see better qualified people lost to other companies. Lies, cheating, stealing, and kissing up in social media are their keys to success.

reps are using in store pickups to pad numbers. Ring out phone as ispu then sell accessories/tmp on separate transaction. If customer doesn’t want those, they also ring them out as an ispu

Shouldn't have to ring up an in store pick up in store just so a customer can get a better deal, only to boost digital sales numbers to appease shareholders....

Please elaborate on why it is disgraceful? Most of the time the customer is getting a better deal on the phone than what is offered in store. Additionally, for those who have good credit, they also get the option to bill their upgrade fee and taxes. An option they don't have in store. With Verizon now increasing the instore upgrade fee versus online purchase, you are now going to see an increase in these type of transactions. Corporate is at fault for making these options available, not the reps for helping the customers get their best deal.
