If there will be layoffs on a bigger scale as we expect we are also bound to see a reorganization of the company structure. I doubt they will just lay off and leave the teams crippled. What do you think what the shape of that reorg might be?

EMEA will see a huge reorg in June 2019 (Q1FY20). Solution Engineering will push their hub plans and Business Development will get some axe magic. CSMs will most probably be reduced even further. Digital teams will also face a major overhaul.
All reorgs at Oracle are fake. No one in the management has a clue what they are doing. They are all just leftovers who can't find a job elsewhere.
No reorg has ever helped or ever will. It doesn't matter. Just more posing by the upper management pretending to do something useful.
ORCL has done stupid layoffs before because it helped the bottom line and those actions have left teams struggling to recover for years. sometimes its easier to hide the problems created by these reorgs from investors who only looks at numbers.
ORCL has been stating for a few years now that they want to be a cloud company but they've refused to fully commit - we still have a ton of on-premise stuff. wouldn't it be fun if someone said, OK, we're all-in on cloud, all on-premise development stops NOW. then reorg accordingly to back that up. force customers to the could by giving them no other option.
think of the possibilities.
did any one hear of any one being let go? Looks like a normal day at work and no signs of layoffs!
what about future of software engineers?
All of the customer success teams will be gone by the end of fiscal year. This is seen as a huge cost center. They already did this for NA CSM. Now it will be rolled out tonother products and regions.
Yeah, oracle should have been reorged eons ago: for starters by firing the grotesquely overpaid incompetent 3 stooges and replacing them with one competent CEO. But that’s not happening on LE’s watch with the incompetent Board that’s in place, so dream on.

No offense, mate, but I suspect you also believe in rainbow-farting unicorns with that attitude.
