To all of the proximity appraisers keep doing your job the way your were trained to do it before all this numbers and metrics craziness.....I left on 7/31 and now I have been working at an another insurance company, A lot of appraisers are good appraisers, trust me other insurance companies and body shops are aware of the situation with The Farm.....I know a lot of you will be able to get a job quick with another insurance company or a body shop. Keep your heads up and don’t let Tippy’s nonsense get you down.
Looks like more cuts coming. Town Hall in May
Seriously, it is a great job lots of freedom. Easy as pie to do 5.2 a day. No i am not in management. Been doing it a long time. The metrics are what make it miserable try and write a good sheet APU, estimate check. Repair vs replace, alternative parts. Bla Bla Bla. If they really let us write a good sheet yes our costs would be higher than the industry average. But the word spreads fast body shops are some of our best marketing tools. Put tippy on tv, Yes we pay the most to fix your car why because we fix it right. That would sell more of the desirable policies than a fudge packer or Jake ever would. So come off the edge brother do your job f the numbers. Enjoy spring is coming.
I hope they offer a severance package and just end the misery of proximity estimating all together.
That is what we are all assuming, or perhaps keeping them only in the bigger more heavily populated metro areas...can anyone confirm this?
Closing all of them
