Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

It’s not wether they care about you or not. If something’s are done to one associate then it should be done for all. Managements have their favorites. Yes you are at work to get a paycheck but you also build a bond with the people you work with. You are with them for 5 days of the week. If you go to work and stay to yourself then you’ll be miserable.

Speaking from experience I'd say, there's better out there, is accurate.

Our club closed. Every single person who decided to leave the company has been happier. They have all found better jobs, and wonder why they didn't leave on their own lots sooner. The ones who stayed are still in the constant stress and complain all the time.

But we had to go through the BS to appreciate the good life. Better money, people who appreciate you, and people who do CARE.

There's better out there person is a mo--n. No company gives a c-ap about it's employers, I've had several jobs and this one has been my shortest stint. All jobs s---, get over it, this is the life you chose.

I love working here.

You're all fools to think working at Sam's club is a legitamate job/career its cringey to even think it is.

Management/MM/HO Does not care if we live or die.

Members think we are beneath them becuase we work retail. And btw all of our members are peices of sh--.

So why the f--- do we even give a sh-- about anything anymore.

Why would managers/supervisors care about you or your family? Their not your friends, nor your employer, and your paycheck doesn't come out of their pocket. It isn't their business. We work for a company which isn't a living being. The other people you work with have their own family and problems.

How much time do you spend worried about your lives or problems? That you think they should care about you is ridiculous. You are not their loved one, pet, or property. You're just someone they have an awareness of, less than an acquaintance.

It's a job. You're real life is at home. If you get emotionally involved with the place you work, you need to detox.

You guys are crazy if you think all companies are as heartless. You e been stuck in this hole too long. There are a lot out there that do care. You gotta get out there and make things better for yourself. You're getting use to the trash this place deals out. It is not this way in other places.

If no one gives a sh-- about you, that says more about you than others.

Agree! Management doesn’t give a F. They all have their favoritism. When my father passed away, no one from the job told me anything. They didn’t send me flowers or anything. But when their favorites lose someone then they want to post funeral services and flowers. F all of them.

Wow someone’s a tad upset lol. To Kjp you are correct, most managers could care less about us and upper management dosent know you. Sad but that’s the company we work for. Same over on the Wally World side. I hate what we’ve become.

Let me tell you guys a story that happened recently.

My 5 yr old daughter became very sick the Saturday after Thanksgiving of 2018. She was in the hospital for 3 days. I was there by her side. She was released, but still too sick to go back to school for a week afterwards. I went back to work during that week, and juggled shifts between myself, her dad and a friend helping watch after her. When I went back, not a single manager asked me how she was doing. Some co-workers did, but management did not give a damn about my child who could have died. I also made it clear that I will be leaving when my shift was over because I needed to switch off watching after my baby girl until she was able to get back to school. Management still tried to make me stay over every single day. These people do not care about you or your family! Others are putting on an act. Those that legitimately care are few and far between. Those that think otherwise are only fooling themselves. After the holidays I began job hunting and just had my last day with a company that has turned into garbage. 12 yrs I put into a place that looks and treats it's associates like they're nothing. Quit with the excuses. This place is horrible.
