Cashier

Are cashiers exempt from block schedule? They all have school and so many other things.

People need to realize that’s it’s not about you it’s about the business they don’t care what you have going on only about the members

4 hour shifts. Who can live on 4 hours pay a day? This is beyond nasty.

Is there a lot of turnover with part time cashiers only getting four hour shifts

They way that block scheduling works is the full times will have a "set schedule". Either the early shift or closing shift. Our club does 5am-1:30pm, and 1pm-9:30pm. Part timers don't necessarily have a set schedule. So there are certain shift for each work group. Cashier fall into a group that has 3 shift, 9am-1, 1-5, 5pm-9pm. If you are part time you still can have an availability sheet and have what hours you can work. You also have a "prefrance" in which you would choose woch shift you wout prefer to work. If all 3 fall in your availability for that day it does not mean you will get your preferred shift. So if you have class Monday and Wednesday you can still be unavailable at those times....it really isn't much different than now for part time. Hope that helps some!
