Just curious what CWA 3 SE employees are seeing/hearing so far. Leaked screenshot says 240 wire techs expected to be surplused in this area.

A ton of WT’s were let go today! The numbers are high!
I heard in April they were going to discontinue selling Uverse, The existing Uverse customers will be transitioned over to something else. There was 240 wire techs on a list, not the same list as the SE 2ND QUARTER SURPLUS LIST, Mostly in Florida. 65 in Raleigh nc, a lot in Tn. 2 in Mississippi, 8 in Columbia sc
Grand total of 34. Mostly Office assistant and service rep. (This from cwa3204 website- so probably valid).
There is another document floating around regarding a lot of wire tech in Tenn too (but not sure of its validity)
Why would there be contingency training for a layoff ? That makes no sense outside a strike

My contingency assignment training says that is going to be true. I have to apologize in advance for anyone that has to deal with me on a job installing/repairing anything. I have absolutely no background in such things, and I don't know how watching 30 hrs of video will make me anywhere near close to being able to support anyone in the field. My apologies!
