Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Let's see what magic tricks they have left. I'm thinking very few; they cannot sustain buybacks.

Summary

ORCL reported flat top-line growth in its most recent earnings report.

The company spurred the bottom line through cost-cutting.

ORCL will fall as it continues to shed its image as a growth stock.

Sell ORCL.

numbers seem OK so let's see what unsubstantiated claims people can make about lies and made up numbers. if you can't prove that ORCL is lying and reporting false number, shut up already. if you can, just call the SEC and then shut up.

Dumps on buybacks, slow revenue growth, little R &D investment. Bright spot? LE "reportedly much more engaged with the business than in previous years." THAT is Oracle's hope for the future!!!

Good luck to all after the earnings call.

Oracle is dead, dead as a piece of drift wood tossed around by waves in the ocean. You like that analogy LE? You’ve seen driftwood in your sailing career, now you are driftwood metaphorically speaking.

I'm with you; I hope the leadership turnover fairy tale becomes true but I also think some outside talent needs to be brought in. The remaining ranks in PD don't seem to have the motivation, talent, or creativity to launch a turnaround. Use some of the buyback funds to go hire a handful of hands-on software development VP's and DIrectors from AWS and Azure. They won't come cheap.

Why so negative? Shorting the stock? Upset that your bets aren't paying off? The turnover in the development organization might be just the shock to the system that Oracle needs to spur it back into growth.
