I generally don’t pay attention to rumors, but first store closings, store hours cut and now the word is sta call centers can be affected. Looks like they feel that there is room to cu in those segments and automate or outsource as much as they can. Thoughts?

Any idea what WIRELSS call centers are on the list?
The writing has been on the wall for what, a decade now? They started closing centers down around 2010 if I remember right. Low performing stores have slowly been closing over the last 5 years and while they are investing in the new designs and upgrading some stores, others are likely to just be moved to 3rd parties.
EDN help desk is being integrated into At Your Service. Managers are being told to "bot everything up". InfoSys has this gigantic contract with VZ now, to provide so many different services--including software development beyond the India branch. It's no surprise the company has decided that people who deal with customers directly in some non-sales capacity are less useful to them. Time to update your resume. Best of luck.
