Democrats say lean in. Get woke
Some kind of snowflake junk.
It’s the Fisher Price version of a business plan. Usually a single sheet plan involving a 4 step methodology.
It’s supposed to drive results oriented thinking.....but we know how that goes in The VZsphere.
+1 for what 1lqs said.
FAST = Failure At Saving Time
Lean = L in VLSS
Fast team was supposed to do what the NOC does for their own market however they still call the NOC and ask us to do those things
It is corporate secret code to hurry up and cut more people. Or maybe more with less.
Fast team is a new network operations team that was designed to take all the bs the guys in the field don't want to do. And lean is a leadership style being pushed on the managers by headquarters.
"LEAN usually means a bunch of cubicle jockeys with no field experience telling the field how to operate with unrealistic metrics and spreadsheet fodder."
A perfect example being the "ACTIVE SURVEY" required for all FiOS installations.
They are going to LEAN on you until you break.😀
Never heard of FAST/LEAN. What company do you work for?
Just based on the wording, it looks like great feats will be accomplished, quickly, with few resources?
LEAN usually means a bunch of cubicle jockeys with no field experience telling the field how to operate with unrealistic metrics and spreadsheet fodder.
a group that was able to shelter a few low performers for another year before they fire them
OP, couldn’t get an answer to your same post on the wireless site, huh?
FAST/LEAN Team are glorified switch techs
Wish I could give you more than +1 for that accurate and succinct definition.
Fast = deliver it on time. Lean = Reduce in force.
