At my club, my manager is making my life a living hell. He clearly doesn’t like me and isn’t shy to show me that. I don’t want to report anything given that I really don’t believe that HR would help me in any way and I figure it will only make thing worse. My question is, is it possible to ask to be transferred to another club. I have another club that’s in a realistic distance for me to commute and I got the information that they are hiring. What’s the procedure, is a transfer even possible or do I need to quit and reapply? Would even asking for a transfer make me a layoff target?

Also contact the other club ( manager) . Let them know you want to transfer and discuss your interest. They can help get the ball rolling.
Your GM is the only one that gets the notification. Assistants do not. I’m an assistant, never have I received an email or anything. You find out from your GM that they want a transfer. Yes it is career preference, request transfer and enter club number, positions interested in.
Your manager gets notification if you look into requesting a transfer. So good luck once you do.
Tell him to go f--- himself!😊
Sounds like your gm would be happy to see you go.
Do not tell them the truth about why you want to transfer. That could just make things harder on you. Make something up. Like it's closer to my house, I'll be moving to that area soon, it's closer to my kids school.
Your GM has to sign off and approve. If he or she will not approve it’s dead on arrival
Clear it with the GM let him/ her know what you’re thinking . You will know your answer at that point.
You need to go on the wire I believe it is career preference you request a transfer
