They said layoffs will take two weeks. I believe them. I can't know for sure since there are no official numbers, but I think we might be half way through the announced 4,300. Laying off that many people takes time.
Also, we never got the all clear from our managers, so there's that as well.
When we were laid off in 2009, they continued to let people go even after the "layoffs were done" but in small pockets so it avoided press attention.
I seriously think it'll be a long time before those left will feel somewhat secure.
If they said two weeks, I imagine that they mean it.
No all-clear email/message for my team as well. I am betting Monday and Tuesday will be another huge round of layoffs.
