2/14 is T minus 48 hours. I keep hearing the song lyrics ...should I stay or should I go....
Truth...I only attended the Townhalls because it gave me an hour of downtime. Now will I be reprimanded for telling the truth?
I believe that same was true at a Townhall in NJ as well. Donovan was sad to see no one in the audience so he demanded everyone back to the office. It wasn’t that no one was in the office, no one showed up because he is boring and dry. Now when Ralph had a Townhall, it was standing room only...”But wait, there’s more.”
One story circulating a couple of years ago when they first started to require people to come in to the office was that Donovan had a town hall in Redmond WA and there were empty seats.
Apparently it ticked Johnny off and he declared that people needed to come in to the office to work and be there to smile and nod at him when does his town hall.
That is the way decisions like this are made in this company, regardless of how much it inconveniences the people who actually do the work.
@3ajn You think not attending sends a strong message? I think it sends the message the employees aren't paying any attention, so feel free to do as you please with no regard to the employees.
Working from home and skipping the call that day and letting mouse idle during the call time. No reason except just really don't care.
get up and walk out during the meeting. tell them your workstation has been idle too long, or better yet nothing at all
Here’s the summary of all town halls. You’re welcome.

Instead of complaining take action. Do not attend/call into the meeting. It will send a strong message. There won’t be any transparency so why waste your time. It’s nothing more than an obligatory call to check off a box.
Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah. Does it matter? Does it really matter anymore? At this point, what difference does it make?
One option:
An empty auditorium and no one logging in to the Town Hall meetings.

How about everyone in the zones/HUBS flush the John's at the same time when the call starts.
Not attending the call. That is brilliant! Small start to getting the message across but small is a start!
I think everyone should just not attend/join the call.
If you’ve been around long enough you’ll know that they thoroughly screen the questions getting asked and they plant questions in the audience. One of my colleagues got handed a question that they had to ask in a town hall. It is just a dog and pony show. I’ve occasionally seen someone ask a hard question from the audience. They later got a dressing down from their director.
