Wireline eisp?

Has anyone heard anything else about a possible EISP? I'm so ready to go...the cssc is going to be the end of me!

Too many people sitting around with no work,. They know it. Something will be coming. Be patient.

No one knows what’s going on. Second line told us weeks ago an eisp was coming out for linemen only....no facility techs. Today a union guy said no eisp is coming out for linemen...he’s sure of it. Somebody is a liar. We got enemies on both sides.

Omg , nobody said they were offering 400k to leave . And 500k in a 401 and 570k lump really isn’t a lot these days . Considering the lump is going down also , you definitely need more . Combined I am at about 1.4k and more is probably needed .

I’ve got over 500k in 401k and buyout is around 570k....house is paid off. Offer an eisp and I’m gone! The company isn’t going to give you 400k to leave....they will pay you 400k to work for the next 4 years though. They could add something to the eisp to make it more tempting, or add time/age, but 400k...lets be realistic.

@3vit . Everyone knows they aren’t gonna give $400k , that’s why people are gonna stay . Now pay attention , why leave $400k that is pretty much guaranteed thru this contract for a buyout of about $130k ? Obviously there will be some takers , but everyone I know who would be able to leave ( me included ) is gonna stay and beef up their 401k for a few more years .

Why would they give 400k ? Very unrealistic.

4 year contract = $400,000, if EISP is $130,000 I'll be staying

I think it has to be a substantial offer to get a lot of people to leave . If it isn’t , we all have the next 4 years to fall back on . Having this contract extension has changed a lot of people’s thinking about leaving .

@1hnp .... agree. The standard EISP to techs that have 4 or so years to reach 30 or techs that are 62, 63 years of age won't cut the mustard for most. They would make more by staying. Why leave for what is roughly $130000 gross, pre tax when you can stay and make four times that much and still likely be offered a package just prior to retirement. The company will pay the same one way or the other for the most part.

They aren’t gonna give 100k for 4 years , that is me staying till the end of the contract .

@wmp, you’re right. That’s way too little.

@bpe , I hope that isn’t the offer . Doesn’t float my boat , I will take what is behind door #1: 100k per for the next 4 years .

I hear 3 years added to your age and time of service. There seems to be a lot of workers with at least 27 years. Something along the lines they offered way back 6 & 6 package.

$2200 for every year of service + $50k + $10k

I’ve got my 30 years but still kinda young (early 50’s)....if it’s a good offer, I’ll probably go, if not, I’ll stay until the end of the contract.

Many rumors floating about.

I cannot understand why the company keeps it a secret.

Heaven forbid employees might be able to plan for the rest of their lives.
