I been hearing from one of my managers that the company might cut down on managers and have salary leads. He said the leads would be able to close/open the store by themselves. Does anyone know anything about this.

You can not pay salary less than $48,000.00 a year and work them over 40 hours. That law went in effect over a year ago.
It would be like the old area managers they had what about 10-15 years ago before they restructured those position to allow more lead roles.
They would make less money who would want to do it. Trust me it’s not worth 70 hours a week. If sh-- falls apart it’s on you. Not sure in our club leads would even consider, they see managers struggle and stressed out.
They could be looking to cut down on the number of managers and replace them Leads that are paid slightly less.
That doesn't make sense. If they are salary, then you are just changing the name from Manager to Lead. ?????

That has been a recent rumor, but no big details. I bet it'll happen. When is anyone's guess.
