Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The company survived before you, and the company will survive after you.

I wanted others to learn from my ongoing mistake - I work, a lot, no one asks me to work as much as I do, I just do it. I can even confidently say I enjoy it. Recent meeting I determined that I would have benefited much more if I just focused on myself instead of the company I work for. I can't replace that time lost.

Work your office hours, use your vacation and sick days, put yourself first before a company.

@1vsr don't forget the "leadership" above Alin. Wait'll they start "reorging" the band 4s. Would love to be here to see them do that.

@1jfk

Exactly!

Hans is trash and a main reason I took the VSP. I could go on about the "leadership." Pointing at you Alin D’Silva.

It's unfortunate to see GTE/Verizon become what it is.

But it won't survive Hans. Period.

I worked at both AOL and a PC OEM many moons ago. Did they survive? In some ways, yes; in others no.

Verizon, the brand, will survive.

To vkt, I am staying, lots of work, I’m not stressed. I’ll work my 8 per day, what I don’t get done will be there tomorrow. If management doesn’t like it, I don’t f—-in care. That’s today’s moral in the company.

70/30 model... companies will run with 30% hardworking people wherein 70% eat the fruit..yes balancing work life is an art...don't spend much time for company if you are wise .. however exception s are always there..there is no perfect world ...... remember it's not the time which comes and go ..it's we who come and go out of the world...

A couple of my coworkers that did not take the VSP have so much work and are so stressed they constantly cry. I am leaving with the VSP and it hurts me to see my coworkers under such circumstances. I hope VZ realizes at some point their most valuable asset is their employees.

And that goes for every biz out there....as long as you are an employee, you are disposable...that's how is been for eons...
