Get ready for the new round of layoffs in SJC in March-April. Approximately 6000 to be LRed company-wide. Solid info coming from a very senior guy.

Never any mention here about the Professional
Services or Advanced services org. ! Ugly step child who keeps on trekking along, wondering when we will be “made redundant” as the services sales model changes.
why not Cisco come up with Golden handshake program to help oldies that for Cisco long time
because its cheaper to stealthily LR them or induce them to leave after giving poor ratings.

Give it a few days. Csco has perfected the art of having lr and also easing out people under the radar with no official announcements or warn act triggers
I posted the fake news post last night. All the haters can s--- it. Your info is about as real as cnn and Jussie's fake hate crime. Get lost
I assume this is fake news by now ??
Heard UCS is cutting down... ?? No proper focus ?
Fake news, Cisco dropped 450 mill for the November culling. Which leaves 200 mill from what was set aside for this year. There has been spot lr's here and there so there's probably 100 mill left. That's maybe 500 people. They would have to allocate over a billion to shed 6k more. CX is already seeing huge gaps in work lost. I don't doubt that there won't be more lr's, but the 6k number is pretty absurd
Left Cisco 18 months ago on my own, and I don't miss worrying every 6 months about layoffs. I worked in the Global Partner group and I would tweet every week week or so about how great Cisco was to work for. Amazingly I get Connected Recognition awards shortly after. Learn how to survive.
But in true csco fashion enterprise is also developing duplicate hw using the same broadcom silicon as SP.
they will probably layer the same xr on top or xe or some new os someone cooks up
All in the name of separate empires and “i got funding”
Arista must be rotfl
Enterprise routing is under some other bu
What is the logic behind SP routing will get big hit.
Don't they own the R&S market in Enterprise and SP markets worldwide ( 60 % ) ?
Please share your thoughts
the amazing thing about current csco model is even if PLM, directors, people managers & their PE lunch gang miserably fail in strategy, design, delivery they continue to get promoted and loaded with RSUs while rest of engineering ranks take the hit and get booted with "poor" reviews.
its truly a marie antoinette kind of regime and artistocracy in charge now.
Remainder of cjp? (BU formerly known as ccbu)
Damn..i work in spns routing
my top guess for a hard punch would be service provider routing.
any ideas which BU's are taking the bulk of it?
Mexico TAC is ramping up on the NGFW team. They have 27 CSEs now. SJ TAC is going to get hit I am sure of it.
With CR & MM making over $40 million/year, we might need to hire a few more contract workers to get the work done. The current budget can't handle all these Cisco employees that expect health insurance and benefits.
"if i taking leaf absent, can cisco LR me?"
Looooooolz. A H1B poster indeed. These are the folks replacing us Americans at Cisco.
SVP
How high up is your source ?
Hearing the number is 11,600
Why would you take your leaf absent? Poor leaf. It should stay in school.
if you taking leaf absent , you should go back to school
if u taking leaf absent, they should put you on a PIP and fire you for incompetence
if i taking leaf absent, can cisco LR me?
