Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Can it be decided that a club is going to be turned into a distribution center?

Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but I’m getting worried. My club has been employing more of the backroom associates while lowering the number of associates that work “on the floor”. I know the main practice was to close a club and after a while reopen it as a distribution center, but I’m getting a funny feeling that’s going to happen here instantly. Can a club be turned into a distribution center without being closed for a period of time? Is that even a possibility?

If you’ve noticed when you sign your job offer. In small print says it can alter / change anyway they see fit, you have to acknowledge it before being hired.

Why not, saves on a lot of payouts.
